About the Authors

SEVELEN PRICE is a curious, big-hearted explorer who believes that small actions can and will make the world better. When she’s not writing stories with her dad, she’s asking big questions, creating art, paddling, cottaging, and dreaming up adventures with her besties (and her little brother, Nevis, too!). Sevelen lives in Ontario, Canada and she loves animals, swimming, and anything that lets her imagination run wild. The Magical Hairbrush is her first book, inspired by her wish for every salon to be a hope spot for the planet.

SHANE PRICE is a Canadian/American entrepreneur and trailblazer devoted to innovating for a more circular, sustainable economy. He is the Founder and CEO of Green Circle Salons which began in 2009 and has grown to become the world’s largest and most comprehensive sustainability platform for the beauty industry. The company currently operates in Canada, the U.S., Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Poland.

Under Shane’s leadership, Green Circle has received numerous honours including Ontario’s prestigious Minister’s Award of Environmental Excellence. The company has been granted support from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. Shane has been an invited speaker on many stages, including the European Congress of Coiffure EU to share insights on how to make the hairdressing sector more sustainable.

Shane has served as advisor on the B Corp Beauty Coalition in Europe and is a dedicated mentor to young entrepreneurs and start-up visionaries. He is a proud and loving husband and father of two and is a passionate outdoor enthusiast.
